Design

The Arizer Solo Vaporizer is a top tier, well-made vape. They have been on sale for nearly seven years, an eternity in this industry. Everyone who has reviewed these vapes has the same thing to say: they last forever. Many of those who purchased the original run are still using their first unit.

The first Solo did not have the ability to see your temperature setting you’re on. This one actually has a temperature LED display so you don’t need to wonder if it will vaporize your herbs or burn it. It even displays the battery life. Unlike most herbal units, this has a replaceable battery. In case you are stuck without a place to charge, simply change the batteries. The design overall looks about the same as the first one however this has a rounder and cylindrical shape. However, it is more portable than before since it is a bit smaller. The Arizer Solo II stands at 5.25” x 4” x 8”.

Build Quality

This particular vape is one of the hardiest on the market. It is rugged and easy to use without any of the bells and whistles which make it subject to easy breakage. If you choose to travel with the Arizer Solo 2, you could have some issues with mouthpiece breakage, since traveling with glass is always a risk. Those who keep this vape at home will likely keep it functioning as desired for years to come.

 

Vapor Quality

The Arizer Solo 2 produces a rich, dense vapor. I find that the vapor is still quite harsh unless tempered by some sort of water pipe addition. This is yet another quality that makes this vape a stamp-at-home piece. The piece can be used by itself, but the quality hit that I desire is simply impossible when using the unit alone.

One of the most boasted features on the Arizer Solo II vaporizer is the quality of vapor you get when vaporizing your herbs. This is due to several things. First and foremost is the borosilicate glass that the vapor path is made up of. That preserves most of the taste rather than having the vapor go through heated plastic. Another reason for great vapor quality is the herbal chamber that is now called the recessed heat jets.

Battery Life

The battery on the Solo 2 is identical to that of the original model. No hardware change were made, so you should expect the same incredible battery life and a similar performance arc. The only major change between the models was the addition of an LCD screen.

 

Functionality

This is not a portable piece by any trench of the imagination. It is large, bulky, and unwieldy. It is too large for a pocket and far too fragile for a purse. Even in areas which do not require discretion, the Arizer Solo 2 is simply not a piece you’ll want to travel with.

How to Use

To turn on the device, simply press and hold the central ‘M’ button while at the same time holding down the up button. The up button is directly located above the M button and the down button is located below it. This will turn the screen light on and the counter will start counting down. The default time is 6 seconds. When it drops down to 0, the unit will beep and the display screen will write “Hi”. When the countdown reaches zero, the device is ready to use. Select your desired temperature, and let the vaping begin.

Temperature Settings

The The best known feature of Solo vapes is the full-glass vapor path and the flavor that results from such a high level feature. The original Solo has been the best for seven years now and the Solo 2 is clearly designed to take the crown.

Performance

The singular flaw in the Solo 2 vaporizer vadesign is more of a particularly vulnerable feature. The glass mouthpiece, a highly functional part, is almost certainly where your vape will fail. The join is fairly secure, but these pieces very regularly break at this point.

A new technology called recessed heat jets bowl design opens the chamber up for more air flow which gives you a nicer pull without feeling clogged.

Like most herbal vapes, this one is not connected through a smartphone app. This is better in case you are somewhere without any cellular phone service or Bluetooth capability. You have complete full custom control of your unit through the front menu buttons. Whether you want to turn it on or off, switch temperature or unit of heating metric, it can all be done through your phone.  The battery is a dual 18650 lithium-ion battery set up that lasts upwards of 3 hours. The temperature you mostly use can make a big difference on how long your Arizer lasts.

Pros

The original Arizer Solo is on the large side. It is still small enough to be considered a portable vaporizer, but it is a little difficult to deal with and won’t fit in most carrying cases. The designers tried to deal with this by providing a hip holster with the product, but no one really uses it, so we aren’t even going to consider it when we consider how portable this vape is.

Cons

The unit only comes with one glass mouthpiece, even though it is a delicate part, likely to have issues. I also find the ability to change temperature by individual degrees to be a useless level of functionality.

 

Accessories and Parts

This vape is best served by the addiction of a water pipe. The vapor, while dense, can be rather harsh. It can also remain little warm, so cooling is definitely a plus. The Arizer Solo 2 fits many standard water pipe adapters but does not come with the equipment required to make this upgrade.

 

Overall Experience

The Solo 2 is an very impressive upgrade from the original Solo. This beloved industry standard has everything I require from a vaporizing device, even though it isn’t very portable. It truly feels as though the designers set out to achieve another classic, Ned I feel that they were successful.

The Solo has been considered the perfect starter vape since the day it came on the market. This produce is even better in that it is even easier to use and easier to maintain. I think that the Arizer Solo 2 may end up even more popular than the original.
