Ease of use

An important factor of KandyPens Rubi is the ease of use. The device can be easily activated by inhalation for easy use. The electronic filing of the Rubi Pod is as simple as possible. Design of the KandyPens Rubi

This KandyPens vape pen is four inches tall, much smaller than most e-cigs. It has a sleek and rounded design that is rather elegant. The mouthpiece is comfortable and easy to remove when you need to fill the Rubi pod. Refilling is easy enough, but you must be precise to avoid spills. You just twist the rubber stopper on the Rubi pod and pull on its wings to remove it when it’s time for a refill.

Build Quality

From the first glance, the Rubi’s outer frame virtually shows its quality thanks to the solid metal structure. It gives it a slender, luxurious texture evident from the first touch. After all, after many iterations of the same mod style, it is expected that some improvements will be made to the overall design and construction over time.

Standing slightly higher than the Pax JUUL at 101mm in length, it’s not the most compact of all pod style vapes. The difference is almost negligible with a margin of less than 5mm total. The complete kit consists of the main body that contains the battery, the pod tank to which the mouthpiece is attached, and a micro USB charging cable used to complete the 280 mAh battery.

Vapor quality

The production of flavors and clouds reaches the target when using Rubi and I think this is mainly due to the ceramic coils used by the Rubi pod. The flavors are crisp and clean with each puff, and you would not believe it’s a pod-type mod thanks to the generous vapor production.

The latter has a restricted airflow design that closely mimics that of a tobacco cigarette while the Rubi has a much looser airflow. Since this allows you to use any e-liquid, it is also good to keep in mind that this is a low amperage device, so if you’re coming off from smoking cigarettes, it’s best to use a solution rich in nicotine salt. You get the necessary amount of nicotine without experiencing any harshness in the throat

 

Functionality

The user activates the Rubi during inhalation for a hassle-free operation. While offering no control of voltage or variable temperature, the device itself is regulated to offer the best vapor, regardless of what you vape. There’s no need for tweaking or testing, the Rubi delivers right out of the box.

Re-filing the pods is also a fairly intuitive affair. Simply remove the pod from the battery of your Rubi vaporizer. Identify the fill hole on the side of the cartridge. This is where your e-liquid will come in. Remove the cap and carefully place the dropper of your liquid in the pod. Fill up without overfilling and you are good to go.

How to Use the KandyPens Rubi

• Remove the mouthpiece from the Rubi’s body.
• Remove the rubber stopper from the pod, fill the pod with your e-liquid, and replace the stopper.

• Replace the mouthpiece on the Rubi’s body and inhale.

It’s important to prime the Rubi pod before step 4, this is a very short, quick process. Simply inhale from the mouthpiece 3-5 times before moving on to step 4. Skipping this step will result in dry hits and you definitely don’t want that. You only need to do this once per Rubi pod.

Cleaning and maintenance

To clean the pod of your KandyPens RUBI Vaporizer, soak in vinegar for 30min -2hrs, shaking regularly. This will remove any residue. You can gently clean any additional residue with a q-tip. Allow the pod to dry for at least 24 hours before recharging a puff bar.

 

Performance

With a cartridge having a ceramic coil wrapped in Japanese cotton, Rubi brings a level of performance superior to the pod market. Although there is no shortage of refillable cartridge vaporizers, their production and performance may be of poor quality. The 1 ml tank of Rubi is, to my knowledge, the largest capacity of all pods currently available. Most users will find that enough for a day of vaping. The cartridge has a sealed carburetor hole that definitely contributes to the flow of air.

The release of the KandyPens Rubi is perfect for mouth-to-lung inhales or even direct mouth hits. It is one of the few vaporizers of this size that can provide vapor clouds that closely mimic the density of actual smoke. The taste is very clean even in case of chain-vaping. Allowing very little cooling time between puffs.
