If you are familiar with vaping, then you definitely know about Arizer. Arizer is a canadian dry herb vaporizer company that makes nothing but top shelf high quality vaporizers for the herbal community. They have been around for quite a long time and have the experience to know what the vapers need. Arizer has become an industry standard now for both portable and desktop units. The first portable herbal vaporizer they created was the Solo 1. It still is one of the best selling units in the market because of its efficiency and durability. In 2017, the Arizer Solo 2 was introduced and is taking sales away from other competitors in the space. Both have similar names so I bet you’re wondering, “What’s the difference between the Arizer Solo 1 and Arizer Solo 2?” Well King Pen Vapes has the scoop on that.
Performance – Winner: Solo 2
Performance is not shy of being exceptionally wonderful on both units. They both have the ability to change temperatures from 122°F to 428°F however there is a huge difference between the two. The Arizer Solo has 7 preset temperature controls where as the second Solo can be adjusted by one degree increments. This can be the difference between vaporizing or combusting your herbs. You can also choose Fahrenheit or Celsius on the LED screen.
Vapor Quality – Winner: Solo 2
Vapor quality has improved because of the improved airflow. The improved airflow means bigger hits which means more satisfying vapor. This also helps with clogging so you’re always getting nice big clouds without having to inhale too hard. Both Arizer Solo’s still continue to heat evenly and proportionally through out your ground up herbs. The fact that they both have a glass stem where the vapor travels through is really good. Also being able to manually change the temperature by one degree temperature continues to blow the first Solo out of the water.
Design – Winner: Solo 2
When it comes to size first and foremost, the Solo 2 is just a little bit more compact. It’s not the biggest difference but it definitely is noticeable. The Arizer Solo line up has never been the most discreet vape. It can possibly fit in your pockets depending on how big they are. They both come with the glass stem although the second Solo’s is a bit smaller. A very obvious difference between the two is the LED display screen that the second model has. The LED screen shows battery life, temperature you’re on and the metric of temperature. This is a huge plus and has to be done on this model.
Build Quality – Winner: Tie
The Solo line up is known for its durability which is why the company has a lifetime warranty on these. It actually stands behind their products. Many previous customers purchased the first Solo 4 years ago and they are still putting it use daily. You can imagine how many times it must have been dropped yet it still continues to work. They both have all glass vapor pathways which help with vapor quality. You also ensure you’re not getting any toxins.
Battery – Winner: Solo 2
As far as battery goes, there is definitely a difference between the two. The first Solo has a non removable 18650mAh lithium ion battery and lasts about 2 hours on full charge. The Solo 2 has a removable dual 18650 lithium-ion battery which lasts about 3 and a half hours to 4 hours on a full charge. Having a removable battery is great in case you want to keep an extra set on your to keep vaping while the other one is charging.
Winner: Arizer Solo 2
It’s pretty easy to realize why the Arizer Solo 2 is the winner here. It has and contains everything the first one does but it just comes withmore weapons to the fight. If you like the Solo and have been vaping it for quite some time, it is definitely time for an upgrade.
